Beth Ivimey

Lung Cancer Nurse Coordinator

Beth Ivimey decided to become a lung cancer nurse after witnessing the sheer volume of patients with the disease. Having spent her career in oncology, the most dominant cancer type she saw, was lung cancer.

Beth sees the stigma associated with lung cancer every day, and says patients often feel they are unworthy to have the care they really deserve.

When lung cancer is free from stigma, we will have more funding, we will have more compassion, and we will have more lung cancer nurses.

Lung Foundation Australia needs your support to change the landscape of lung cancer by funding for research and better treatment options, and campaigning against the stigma that acts as a barrier to action.
